Cheshire architectural photographer does a cheeky calendar shoot for cancer charity.
In an unusual departure from the normal architectural and industrial photography projects, we have been shooting photographs for a cheeky charity calendar in aid of Christies Cancer Hospital in Manchester. The photographic 'models' were volunteers both male and female from the construction industry and were pictured with 'tools of their trade'.
The fundraising calendar which sells at £10 each, was the idea of Mo Whittaker who is embarking upon the sponsored Machu Pichuu walk, and has to raise above a certain threshold to be accepted on the walk.
Photography of regular models is never easy but to be confronted with twenty or so 'ordinary' people who were asked to strip into underwear and pose in front of a camera, required tact, diplomacy and plenty of time.
The calendar drew on the modelling talents of various construction industry personnel and could possibly result in a change of career for some after the enjoyment of posing for a professional photographer!
