Commercial photography of Industrial Battery Charger Kit

This photograph was one of a series of images taken for Enersys Batteries and is a multiple charger unit for heavy duty industrial batteries. The batteries, when charged, work on mining hand lamps and also the lamps worn on mining helmets.

The light from these lamps needs to be extremely bright therefore large batteries are required to supply the light intensity. As there is likely to be a great demand for multiple mining cap and hand lamps at collieries and other mining situations, a multiple charging unit can charge up to thirty batteries at a time.

When commissioned to undertake the photography of the charger units, I decided that the unit as a whole did not make an interesting photograph and that the arrangement of the batteries and lamps all neatly stored made a better picture.
