This photograph of Hartford College Art Block was shot for clients Austin Smith Lord Architects in Liverpool. Hartford College is a Further Education College in Cheshire and it was the week of the final shows when the photography was done. The brief was to include students and their work in order to introduce some human interest into the photograph.

The photograph shows two students are finishing off a large project whilst three others are relaxing after working hard! The exterior of the building was very photogenic and contrast of the deep blue sky and the intense green of the grass was conducive to creative architectural photography . The shadows made from the slatted canopy made an interesting effect of the wooden cladding.
