Architectural photography of newly refurbished Old Infirmary, Liverpool

Photographs of recently converted Old Infirmary, Liverpool

These photographs are part of a series to show the transformation of the Old Infirmary Liverpool, into smart offices, lecture rooms and science labs which are owned and run by Liverpool University. The architectural photography was commissioned by Kier North West to illustrate their building conversion from an antiquated victorian hospital into state-of-the-art science facilities for the University.

The photographs show how the original Victorian features have been retained and used to enhance the look of the newly refurbished building, such as original glazed tiled walls and pillars, parquet flooring, large sash windows and external features such as red brick facades. The external elevation pictured, has been cleaned up and restored and parking areas have been created.

In the bottom photograph the science labs have been fitted into exisiting refurbished areas whilst office space has been created from the original long high ceilinged multi bed wards.
