Photographs of summer holiday in the South of France

It's not often I get to shoot abroad but some family friends have a magnificent farmhouse in the Dordogne, with an attached guest house, and wanted some professional pictures taking of the guest house to go on the website and attract paying guests.

The place is very 'rural France' and extremely photogenic set in walnut groves with a very pretty paved pool and garden area.

My task was to photograph each of the rooms with the small amount of additional flash lighting that can be carried as hand luggage on a budget airline! This room here has been decorated in a french style with authentic furniture and fabrics.

The farmhouse is situated between rows of vines producing excellent Bergerac wine and next to a field of sunflowers. As I had my professional equipment with me I decided to take the opportunity of photographing some library pictures of sunflowers and pollenating bees. What a change for me to shoot pictorial imagery for fun!
