Photography by Manchester Architectural photographer of Altrincham College of Arts

Altrincham College of Arts sixth form building is a multi million pound state of the art learning facility, and we were asked to photograph it by construction client Kier Northern, the contractor. The building was designed to provide an adult learning environment away from the main school. It has many interesting architectural features which photograph well including glass blocks to bring in natural lighting and a copper clad frontage.

Throughout the day cafe style catering is available and students meet to drink coffee and discuss their studies. The cafe is situated within a large glazed atrium which links the old school with the new sixth form building.

There is an impressive arts and drama studio which can be viewed through this oval window in the 'production suite'.

The copper cladding photographs well with all the added illumination of uplighters and spotlights.
