Photography of Combine Harvesting in Cambridgeshire

Warm sunny weather down on the farm means it's Harvest Time! We were commissioned by Porterhouse Insurance Brokers to shoot some interesting and creative photographs of combine harvesting operations an arable land in Cambridgeshire. This is one case where good weather is of paramount importance, not just for the farmer harvesting his wheat but also to ensure that the photographic images look great.

The pictures are to be used on the new Porterhouse brokers website as a good proportion of their customers are arable farmers and some good background images were needed to give a farming flavour to the site.

The photographs here are of wheat harvesting but rape seed was also being combined, a less attractive crop to photograph once those spectacular yellow flowers are over. The lovely yellow wheat is set off beautifully against the deep blue sky and creates some wonderful photographic opportunities, and the massive combining machines look very dramatic when they advance towards you!
