No 1 Snow Hill Birmingham - Client Kierbuild

This photograph is of No 1 Snow Hill - of a most impressive office block in Birmingham, photography commissioned by Kierbuild. The building stands 29 storeys high and is currently the tallest tower block outside London. Internally it is fitted out with polished wood and marble and has the echoey feel of an elegant museum.

The photography was carried out before space was taken by two banks but demonstrates the vastness of the building and the amount of glass used both inside and out. Due to the general scale of the building, it was not possible to photograph it with additional lighting except for two or three hand flash guns.

This photograph demonstrates the sheer height of the central atrium allowing daylight to filter down in to the floors below and the ground floor reception.
