Exterior and Interior photographs of new office development in Sheffield

These photographs of the new City Gate development in Sheffield form part of a series that were shot for a promotional brochure commissioned by the letting agents, designed to attract businesses to take space in the well designed and stylish new office block. The photography commission included exterior views, close up details and a range of interior images to illustrate the particular features of the building, that may interest potential clients. The exterior photograph showing the full seven storey height of the building, shows off the cladding reflecting the sun and lightening the whole aspect.

The interior photograph shows how an ordinary looking staircase can look interesting with shadows falling across the carpet, repeating over seven times for each separate floor. This picture works because of bright sunlight coming in through the windows lifting the grey and white colour scheme.

Night photography of the development shows off the Premier Inn which forms part of the building on one side and illumination from passing vehicles gives a dynamic look to the photograph. This photograph was taken just as dusk was falling, with the last of the daylight reflecting in the glass windows of the office block.
