Photography of MBNA Bank Offices, Chester

This architectural photograph was commissioned by Rotary M&E, Chester as part of a series of building photographs to illustrate the scale and variety of M&E installation work they undertake.

The building pictured here was the fifth out of seven large office blocks in the Chester Business Park for MBNA, and housed a massive call centre. The architecture and design of the whole complex was reminiscent of Disney World in that it was immaculately manicured, ornately designed and perfectly landscaped. There was even a sports ground with football pitch, fully fitted gym and sports pavilion.

This particular elevation (click here for other elevation) was the western elevation and between the camera and the building there was a deep ditch, so the photograph was taken from the top of my trusty stepladder! This architectural photograph was taken in late afternoon in mid summer but the long shadows caused by the low sun are just sneaking into the picture.
