Commercial photography of office development on Welbeck Estate, Worksop
The Welbeck Estate near Worksop is the home of the Duke of Portland and Welbeck Abbey in which this family still live is the central point of this vast estate. There has been an estate on the site for nearly a thousand years and for much of that time, it has been in the same family although it was extensively used by the Ministry of Defence for over fifty years in the last century.
We were commissioned to take photographs for the agent's letting brochure of the newly renovated stable block and coach house, which has recently been tastefully converted into upmarket office accomodation. The development is set in acres of delightful photogenic parkland and surrounded by period cottages, workshops, lodges and farm buildings and has been tastefully modernised whilst retaining many of the original features. The site photographs very well, particularly in bright sunshine which brings out the buttery colour of the local stone.
The original doorways have been transformed into large picture windows with full height shutter doors fitted externally. The building is 'U' shaped around a picturesque cobbled courtyard with a central door.
The site has retained its character by enhancing some of the original stone features.
