Schoolboy and magnifyer for Woodfold School, Standish prospectus

This photograph is of a schoolboy in the science department and the photography was shot for the school prospectus commissioned by the school. The magnifying glass has and intresting and amusing effect of enlarging the boy's eye dramatically. There was no shortage of models to offer their services as all kids like to have their photographs taken!

The photograph was taken with a long telephoto lens and was lit with a mixture of available, ambient light and fill-in flash bounced off the low white ceiling. In order to sieze the moment and to get down to shoot the photography at a low angle, I took the camera off the tripod.
