Interior architectural photography of Parr Hall Warrington
Parr Hall, in Warrington was built as a meeting hall for the people of Warrington in 1898 and has seen much activity and life over the past hundred or so years. After the inaugural concert by the local operatic society when they sang a Handel Oratario, it was later used as the town courthouse where sentences were passed on many local villians!
We were commissioned by Harry Fairclough Construction to photograph the hall after being extensively renovated, whilst it still manages to maintain many of the original interesting features.
Parr Hall is home to one of the few remaining Cavaille-Coll organs, which was bought and installed in 1925 and has been an attraction bringing enthusiasts from far and wide.
The first photo session following completion of the renovation works clearly shows the organ in its original setting.
The second photo session executed some two weeks later shows the stage lighting and curtains and obscures the treasured organ!
